Burwell Museum & Windmill

An amazing family day out - explore the windmill, follow the trails, enjoy the rare vintage vehicles, old school room and village shop, and find out how people lived in Burwell on the edge of the Fens.

Set among beautifully preserved historic farming buildings, Burwell Museum tells the story of a bustling fen-edge village. Alongside the 19th-centrury mill, displays from the everyday to the amazing vividly recreate Burwell life over the ages. There’s a lovely tearoom offering hot and cold refreshments and snacks plus outdoor and covered picnic areas. Burwell Museum and Windmill is open to visitors from Easter Sunday until the end of October on Saturdays, Sundays and, on Bank Holiday weekends, Sundays and Mondays.
